I get it. Roy is all over the place ideologically. I thought he was one of the dependable good guys but he has proven to not be dependable. Apparently he is well aware of which side his donor money is buttered.

People outside of Free Republic want to know how a candidate is going to improve their lives. There are only so many hours in a day, and Trump spent some part of it bashing one of the Top 5 Congressmen. What has he done to tell the Normies how he is going to improve their lives? Normies are not going to vote for Pissed Off Old Guy.
I support the clear cut conservative, which is obviously Roy in this case.
Trump just keeps exposing himself more and more each day as an enemy of conservatism.
I think candidate filing in TX had already ended before Trump made his unfortunate remark about C. Roy.
