The remains of an Arkansas World War II soldier are finally home. The US Army Air Force veteran traveled 170 miles before receiving a hero's welcome.
Roller-McNutt Funeral Home brought home 2nd Lt. Kenyon Brindley was escorted by the Army from the Memphis Airport to Conway. Lt. Brindley served in the 703rd Bombardment Squadron, 445th Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force in the European Theater.

And I believe the main reason the media (news and entertainment) keeps churning out WW 2 movies, books, and news items, is to try and convince us that the current nation and regime is the same, and so we should give it the same reverence and obedience.
Can’t say that I disagree with that.
This post was about an American soldier who had fallen some 80 years ago in honorable service to this country remains finally coming home and now we have a number of members posting political statements which true or not have any bearing on his return or his service especially while Taps are still being sounded over his grave. Is this how fallen?
More young Americans died in the 8th Airforce bombing Europe, than Marines died in the Pacific.
