The invasion has acquired the nickname “Operation Z”.
Since mid-March 2022, the military symbol “Z” began to be used by the Russian government as a pro-war propaganda.
Then, the military symbol “Z” was borrowed by pro-Putin civilians as a symbol of support for Russia’s invasion
Some blend the Russian + Z, using the Russian Z SYMBOL to substitute for S that stand against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
However, the Z symbol is considered a variant of Nazi symbolism as a zwastika or zwaztika, in reference to the Nazi swastika & in Russian and Ukrainian as ‘ziga’ referring to Sieg Heil by those in opposition to the Russian invasion.
Even the Russian language search engine Yandex censored the search results for the Z symbol: not allowing symbols of Nazism to be juxtaposed with it.

Day 659 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
During the day of December 14, there were 82 combat engagements.
The enemy launched a total of 4 missile strikes, 32 air strikes and 29 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of Belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of Russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of Russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Hremyach (Chernihiv oblast), Yizdetske, Popivka, Atynske (Sumy oblast), Vovchansk, Veterynarne, Huriv Kozachok (Kharkiv oblast).
KUPYANSK AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast), where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAN AXIS: Ukrainian defense forces repelled an attack east of Terny (Donetsk oblast). The invaders launched an air strike in the area of Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Spirne, Verkhniokamyanske (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks near Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, New York (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
AVDIYIVKA AXIS: the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks in the area east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, and 17 attacks south of Sjeverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Stepove, Avdiyivka, Pervomaiske, Karlivka (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, launched 11 failed attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the adversary conducted no offensives. Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 9 enemy attacks south of Pryyutne, west and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Poltavka, Hulyaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the enemy fired artillery at the settlement of Antonivka (Kherson oblast), the cities of Kherson and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast). The invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Krynky settlement (Kherson oblast).
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and inflict fire on the enemy.
During the day of December 14, Ukrainian Air Force launched 2 strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.
Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.
