That sure didn’t sound to me like “less than 5 months” was in reference to the SC primary, since he mentioned that primary earlier, and as a separate item. The clip just serves to reinforce my belief that “less than 5 months” was referring to something altogether different.

Sounded particularly promising! Who knew in December that already that Obama’s name would be surface as being behind sending Joe into retirement.

FWIW, I recall also that Jill emphatically said that Joe will absolutely not be running again. That statement was reported once, said to a group of unnamed insiders, and never repeated, that I am aware.
