To religious extremists the word martyr, in place of victim, fits in nicely. And good luck trying to shake the faith of someone who believes they are a martyr. She believes the posts directed at her are a form of persecution she must suffer for her faith. She welcomes them. In short Rocco, we are dealing with a full blown mental case.

We should avoid the EVASION of our intellectual responsibility. Each of our pursuit of knowledge is vital to determine the difference between what “we believe to be true” and “what is true.”
Some choose NOT to extend freedom of expression to others that hold a differing point of view. Subsequently, these folks have made comments:

2. to offer a bonus donation if I am removed from FR!

Fascinating take on the situation. I think you're on to something. "Persecution" used to bolster one's sense of "victimhood," gain "cred" for "saintly" behavior and to elicit sympathy and support from fellow believers. Nice "triple play." Ugh.
