Sweetest surprise ending one can imagine.
I worked at Publix in high school and college (1974 - 1981). It was a great company. I still shop there today.
Love that ad! No DEI surprises!
So glad I shop at Publix, nearly every day!
Oh, my heart.
I honestly thought this was going to be a commercial for dishwashing soap!
Great, heartwarming ad. The child actress was perfect. Sweet, but no overacting or showing off.
I appreciated that Publix sometimes carried goods not always available in the southeast. It was a big deal to me when they started carrying Drake’s Ring Dings, Yodels and Funny Bones. (The Funny Bones went downhill, alas.)
I like shopping there because the staff is pretty cheerful and friendly and it’s a pleasant environment. Everything is clean and I think the employees take oriente in their store. It’s an employee owned business and a lot of kids go in there as baggers and then stay, go through college and make it a career.
I live in Florida, so there’s a lot of stores here. But I read that they’re expanding up towards Tennessee now.
Being from South Florida and living in Virginia now, I was happy to see them come here.
But, they are really expensive compared to Krogers or Walmart.
Watch
Wow. Remember when there were commercials with straight, white people?
