Issues regarding Ukraine are sometimes dismissed as if "old news." Here from this year....
Despite Poland and Ukraine having forged an extremely close alliance against Russian aggression this year, remembrance of World War Two history – and in particular the massacre of up to 100,000 Polish civilians by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) – continues to be a bone of contention. The whole mess is very complicated, and to reduce the conflict down to good-versus-bad is simplistic.Bandera – who led the OUN-B political organisation that formed the UPA – is seen as a hero by many in Ukraine for his role in fighting for national independence. Critics, however, see him as a fascist and Nazi collaborator."

But what is certain is this:
Debt Clock
The fringe of our anti-Uker forces here believe they have rewritten Free Republic's basic rules, thus allowing themselves unlimited rights to post insanely insulting, abusive nonsense while forbidding other FReepers from responding directly to them.
So, I wonder if there might be generational issues here?
Was our younger generation never taught to use facts and logic to construct reasonable arguments that anyone might read and decide for themselves what they agree with?
Perhaps what they learned instead was to meme and cancel, meaning, why even attempt a rational argument when all you need do is post abusive memes and then cancel any direct responses?
Apparently, at least as relates to aid for Ukraine.
