The stars are perfectly aligned for Javier Milei, Argentina’s chainsaw Thatcherite
Telegraph ^ | Dec 3 | Ambrose Evans Pritchard

Argentina has hit absolute rock bottom. As a matter of political and economic timing, the circumstances could hardly be better for the country’s Hayekian disruptor, Javier Milei.

Gas from shale fracking will soon be flowing abundantly through a new pipeline from Vaca Muerta, a region of northern Patagonia containing the world’s second largest reserves of shale gas and enough oil to produce a million barrels a day by 2030 at a break-even cost of $35-40.

Argentina will no longer have to bleed its dollar reserves to import liquified natural gas. It will be earning energy dollars.

Argentina holds 21pc of the world’s proven lithium reserves. It is today producing just 6pc of supply. This is about to change.

Thirty lithium projects are being developed in the Andean uplands of Catamarca, Salta, and Jujuy, many in joint-ventures with the Chinese. The area is among the planet’s most lucrative deposits, extracted cheaply from brines on sun-drenched salt plains using solar power, with a carbon footprint seven times lower than Australian spodumene.

Lithium prices have crashed by 75pc but this cannot last. There is a structural shortage of the EV battery metal, which is why Elon Musk is so assiduously courting his fellow libertarian in Buenos Aires.

Milei enjoys goading the eco-literati on global warming – a “socialist lie” – but he will not let it stand in the way of an EV lithium boom. He has picked an enthusiast to be the new mining chief. The industry is purring with delight.

Argentina is the world’s biggest exporter of soybeans, and a major force in wheat and maize. La Niña and the worst drought in living memory cut grain output by 45pc last season, depriving the country of $20bn of export earnings.

Did Evans-Pritchard have to say “Thatcherite” given Milei’s stance on the Falklands?

"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck.”

― Robert Heinlein

Lemme sum up the gist of the article: Javier Milei, "Argentina’s chainsaw Thatcherite", is about to become one lucky SOB.

Cuba once had the highest per capita GDP in Latin America, higher than Mississippi. Then Fidel took over, and Cuba experience bad luck.

Milei is conservative economist, libertarian and “anarcho-capitalist” and he favors a “watchman” state that limits its functions mostly to national defense and police services. Milei says he will “blow up” Argentina’s central bank and dollarize the volatile economy.

He’s anti-abortion and has spoken admiringly of President Trump and former Brazilian President Bolsonaro.

I suspect the USA/StateDept/CIA must be feverishly working overtime to undermine him right now. They worshipped his fascist predecessor, as Argentina’s economy and culture was destroyed and Leftist unions and the welfare state multiplied (like we’re seeing here now).

Milei is making Argentina energy independent and an energy exporter.

With the USA trying to destroy successful nations’ sovereignties for the goal of a atheist neopagan fascist world government, China has taken advantage and established a foothold in Argentina’s economic redevelopment and revitalization and especially their natural resources.

We’re led by evil minded people who are elected and appointed by small minded people who are easily duped into believing trivial characteristics that the evil people amplify are what is important.

Which is why if Joe Biden supports it, I am against it.

I predict that this pipeline will be destroyed in due course. Probably with the help of the CIA.

“...this tiny minority...”

This is referring to Orthodox Jews. The real devout Jews not the fake self-loathing American Jews that worship the Golden Calf.

The problem, of course, is that it shouldn’t be necessary for a nation to hit rock bottom before voters see through the Leftist fantasies of its leaders. Alas, that seems to be the way it is. Hopefully US voters will finally understand the impossible fantasies of the Biden-Obama-Clinton era before we hit an even worse rock bottom than we have now.
