The cold will kill it.
Not necessarily, but our winter habitat probably would. Most zoos here have no problems keeping Australian marsupials in outdoor pens with open, sheltered spaces that they can access in extreme cold. The real issue is the lack of forage here away from urbanized areas; they would probably survive here in Toronto.
Oz itself is mostly a temperate climate and in the south can even get below freezing in winter.
