1. Spam Calls
Spam calls may see a decline as baby boomers dwindle. People have become more tech-savvy and have access to advanced call-blocking and filtering technologies. Additionally, regulatory efforts and increased awareness are aimed at reducing spam calls, making it less likely for future generations to experience the same level of nuisance and intrusion.

Look at where are the filthy boomers have taken us as a country. Perversion, censorship, a police state.
None of these were boomers for example, they were of that generation that the media, freepers, and liberals skip over.
Silent Generation
Bob Seger, Jane Fonda, John Denver, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Paul & Mary, Grace Slick, Neil Young , Van Morrison, Joan Baez, Jerry Garcia, Pete Townsend, Joe Cocker, Judy Collins, Jimmy Page, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Williams Ayers, Bernadette Dohrn, Chicago Seven, Rod Stewart, Abbie Hoffman, Hunter S. Thompson, Malcom X, Charles Manson, Brian Wilson, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones, the Jefferson Airplane, and the Mamas and the Papas, Jimmy Page, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, etc, etc, etc, just about everyone that you can name from the hippie 1960s.
Selling out America to China, NAFTA, GATT, amnesties for illegals, no child left behind, patriot act, massive deficit spending, medicare plan d, etc etc.
All of the promises of the past, and the death of the future resides with Boomers.
Nobody loves the Republican and Democratic parties more than the old; Boomers will never point their compass to new directions and accept that the past was wrong, and the future of their grandchildren and great grandchildren have been directed to the sirens of more government and less liberty.
That is total titles. Many are just on VHS as they were never issued on DVD.
I still have a few VHS tapes that I have not been able to replace with DVD, and have had a hard time finding a decent player. I may have to break down and find a refurbished unit with a warranty. The ones I pick up cheap at Goodwill or other thrift stores have not been very good. The most common problem is the rewind/fast forward, which is hardly surprising, since VHS is a garbage system, an excellent example of the inferior system becoming the standard, rather than Beta.
Look at post 162, people don’t know history so they have this catch-all false memory.
1984 was the first time that all boomers could vote in a presidential election, yet people have them running America since the 50s, without thinking of who actually ran the Universities, the newspapers and magazines, Hollywood, the Senate, the Courts, the Congress, the schools, the feminist movement, the ACLU, Television and TV News, the Republican party and the Democrat party, government agencies and regulations, the military, the cities, corporations and law firms, and on and on.
Canadian baby boom is the same years, with many of the same political behaviours.
“”””Boomers went thru Vietnam, got drafted there.””””
You have a misimpression, unlike WWII Vietnam was a volunteer’s war, even more so than the Korean war.
In Vietnam, 70% of our war dead were volunteers while in WWII 70% of our war dead were draftees.
“In terms of voting numbers, the boomers were the biggest voting cohort.
So, to the extent that who people vote for actually matters, the boomers are the most responsible for what the gov’t is. “
This statement is not specific to the United States.
(neither is the Baby Boom, by the way).
And neither is the original story.
So the young Boomers sound like young people today: Millennials and Zeds.
Some people in the older generations — Silents, Greatest — showed up at the Boomer party and indulged in Boomer antics when they were in middle age, hence all the divorces that gave Xers a rough start in life.
Most kids and under 30s now didn’t have Boomer parents.
You ignored my post, American boomers voted for Trump while all the younger generations voted against Trump.
Tell me what generation you are and I can tell you how that age group in America voted.
If you aren’t a boomer or older, then your generation voted against Trump.
They knew that if they captured government, boardrooms, education and the church they could do it. So they set out on a 60 year march to do that.
It was a war that many warned about, but nobody knew how to win it. Hardly anybody knew we were in it.
What would YOU have done differently to fight it? More importantly, how do YOU plan to recover what we lost? We'd love to hear your answer with your benefit of perfect hindsight.
Roger Kimball (and many others) can explain it to you: "The Long March: How the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s Changed America."
Some honest views...
They call us ”The Elderly”
We were born in the 40-50-60’s.
We grew up in the 50-60-70’s.
We studied in the 60-70-80’s.
We were dating in the 70-80-90’s.
We got married and discovered the world in the 70-80-90’s.
We ventured into the 80-90’s.
We stabilized in the 2000’s.
We got wiser in the 2010’s.
And we are going firmly through and beyond 2020.
Turns out we’ve lived through EIGHT different decades...
TWO different centuries...
TWO different millennia...
We have gone from the telephone with an operator for long-distance calls to video calls to anywhere in the world.
We have gone from slides to YouTube, from vinyl records to online music, from handwritten letters to email and Whats App.
From live matches on the radio, to black and white TV, colour TV and then to 3D HD TV.
We went to the Video store and now we watch Netflix.
We got to know the first computers, punch cards, floppy disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.
We wore shorts throughout our childhood and then long trousers, Oxfords, flares, shell suits & blue jeans.
We dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.
We rode skates, tricycles, bicycles, mopeds, petrol or diesel cars and now we drive hybrids or electric.
Yes, we’ve been through a lot but what a great life we’ve had!
They could describe us as “exennials”; people who were born in that world of the fifties, who had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.
We’ve kind of “Seen-It-All”!
Our generation has literally lived through and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.
It is our generation that has literally adapted to “CHANGE”.
A big round of applause to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE.

OTOH...if ALL books and paintings and photos, and silver and china and whatever else you claim will soon go bye bye, then at some point, like glass, will either have to be reinvented or lost forever.
Please stop telling me what will happen, beyond doubt, with my family. You don't know me, you don't know any of them, and we aren't sheep following the crowd.
But since you imagine that you can foretell the future, for all mankind...seek help; you're delusional.
And neither is it specific to the two elections where Trump was on the ballot. It is a general observation.
As I said, “Worst of all Boomers begat through multi-generational incest a legacy of ideologically mutant children and grandchildren. They just keep getting worse and worse.
How stupid do you have to be to believe that CO2 - plant food - is a pollutant. Gen Z will follow the Neanderthals into extinction.
Good luck with your search for a VHS player. We decided it just wasn’t worth the trouble. It seems as though we watch fewer things each year anyway.
“How did boomers eff up?”
Not all Boomers. But the Democrat ones certainly did.
This boomer was one of the first to homeschool her children. My husband and I are now helping to homeschool some of the grandchildren.
Yes, it’s like peeing in the ocean hoping to warm it up, but we are doing what we can among those closest to us.
While your generation that you won’t disclose voted to stop Trump, and boomers voted for Trump, you need to work on how you post.
Your post 174 makes it look like you are quoting me and then responding to me, when it is you quoting yourself and then responding to it.
