About voice... years ago I sang a LOT and my voice started to go out at times. I found that chewing a piece of raw peeled ginger root would bring it right back. Some singers (iir) use ginger root with honey.
———

I drink ginger tea with honey. Would the ginger root itself be better? Is it hot? Would jarred “sushi ginger” work? I’d love to get my voice back.

I’ve always been a big talker. I talk to everyone wherever I go, and I love to sing, though I’m not very good at it. I miss singing in church and at home when listening to music. …sigh

Hope you are doing much better, LJ. I know I haven’t been in touch much on the Q thread. I still lurk faithfully, but don’t always have the “energy” to post.

Note: energy is not the right word, but I can’t always think of the words to say these days.

I used chunks of raw peeled ginger root. I don’t know what jarred “sushi ginger” is but if you have some, try it. Ginger is hot indeed but it’s a “nice” heat, you don’t need a giant chunk, try a 1/4 or 1/2 inch piece.
