Thank you!
I was thinking of you and your estranged family....
Service members and vets will verbally abuse other service members/vets in ways that would leave others horrified.
For example, when I see someone I don't know in Wal*Mart wearing a different service ball cap, I will say, "I didn't know they allowed _____ pukes to shop here." This never fails to get a smile and we might chat for a few minutes. You meet a lot of interesting people that way. I even met a retired Army general one time. He was passing through but we chatted pleasantly.
While on active duty, I would abuse Army Military Intel types by reminding them that Military Intelligence is a contradiction in terms while Naval Intelligence is redundant. FWIW - Air Force Intelligence has been postulated but never documented.
That this is permitted, and even tacitly encouraged, is because both sides know that the other has their back. (Except during the Army/Navy game.)

***At first, I thought that tiny female was someone’s daughter playing dress-up. That is what she is doing in reality since, as you asked, how is she going to save anybody? And I am betting her uniform costs extra because it must be custom made.

It’s not novel to SARS-COV2
Loss of taste and smell have been reported in the literature following other ARIs, so why have these gone unnoticed or understudied?

Exactly.
We keep (and, I implore my kids/their families) to keep at least 2 months of food/supplies/meds, etc., on hand.
We could survive for quite some time, between the freezer goods and even longer on all of the canned goods.
Some people don’t even have 2 weeks worth of food/supplies, at the ready. And, I’m talking about everyday type of emergencies (floods/storms, etc). 😱
Thanks for that jab list/recap.
Great info, numerous studies/papers.
ALL denied by the FR $hot $hills, of course.

Oooh.....to have been a fly on the table....although I doubt there were any flies in that room, unlike the one on Traitor Pence’s fool head :-)
We shall see.
K, thanks for the info.
If you can find a copy (out of print, but possibly available as a pdf download) “A Failure of Civility” is a fantastic book for neighborhood cooperative survival.
ill check it thanks
We are doing a lot of that already. Of course, it is a lot easier for a small island community. We don't really have to be "Preppers" or get organized for some future bad event. Just the reality of island life in Southeast Alaska demands a certain amount of organizing and cooperating for survival.
