New York hasn’t seen anything yet. For example, both the state and the city have laws requiring larger buildings (like apartments) to convert to electric heating. Some of these laws go into effect by 2030. Others by 2040.
There is no money to make these conversations. And there is no way to generate the needed increase in electricity. So will the “progressives” eventually see reality, and back down? Not likely.

Wait until busses, cars, firetrucks, ambulances, delivery vans, etc. all have to be electric.
We can sit here all day and explain why we cannot go all electric yet. We can point out that we haven’t built any nuclear power plants recently if that’s what they want.
It doesn’t matter because shutting it down has to be the point. It’s not stupidity.
You don’t need a degree in electrical engineering to figure this out.
