Fisetin worked on its own, while quercetin needed a prescription drug, dasatinib. That combination has been used in other studies as a senolytic.

No mention of “China,” “Chinese,” or “gain of function” anywhere in the article.

If a mixture of drugs can be found to lessen or eliminate brain fog in people with Long Covid, like myself, that would be great.

“We found COVID-19 accelerates the presence of ‘zombie’ or senescent cells, which accumulate naturally and gradually in the brain as we get older,” Dr. Aguado said. “Senescent cells are known to drive tissue inflammation and degeneration, leaving patients exposed to cognitive impairments like brain fog and memory loss.”

The exact same symptoms of MRNA vaccines...wierd.

C.M. Thanks! Search on Fisetin found:

Fisetin: A Dietary Antioxidant for Health Promotion

"Advances: Several studies have demonstrated the effects of fisetin against numerous diseases. It is reported to have neurotrophic, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and other health beneficial effects. "

...Snip... "Emerging data from in vitro and in vivo studies indicate that fisetin possesses antiproliferative properties against several cancers (66). Its potential value in cancer prevention and treatment was further underscored from recent reports that show that fisetin may reduce angiogenesis and consequently suppress tumor growth through inhibition of urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) (25). A screening study that evaluated the effect of 17 structure-related flavonoids found fisetin to be a potent inhibitor of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 activity, a key enzyme in remodeling and degradation of the extracellular matrix, with an important role in cancer progression (40"

Fisetin and prostate cancer

Studies conducted to identify novel flavonoids with antiproliferative activity have ascertained fisetin as a potent inhibitor of prostate cancer cell growth (20).

Very interesting info. Thank. There's a tremendous amount of research on the effects of flavonols on health, aging, and memory.

There sure are a lot of Fisetin supplements available on Amazon.

I took a Cocoa Flavanol (CocoVia) for a while during COVID but discontinued it due to cost; I may have to reconsider. But I see that cocoa is a source of only two flavanols: Epicatechin and Procyanidins.

I continue to take Quercetin for antiviral properties (started May 2020 upon recommendation of Roger Seheult who provided "COVID Updates").

Here's a table of all flavonols available from food sources and their therapeutic effects:.

I have a friend who got Covid and is suffering from this brain fog / freeze... It’s a terrible condition. He’s a retired criminal lawyer and one of the most intelligent individuals I’ve ever met.

He was very good at his job too and sadly got one individual who was guilty as hell off from a first degree murder charge... Then again, he saved another individual from going to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Criminal lawyers are fascinating characters and it’s too bad that good ones aren’t in a prosecutors office. In the case where he saved the innocent person from going to prison, the prosecutor’s key witness was the murderer... Some prosecutor’s are as dumb as door knobs.
