I love French Toast - but rarely have it for breakfast - too much sugar and too many carbs to start my day.
Doesn’t mean I don’t love it, b/c I DO!
My mother would use real French bread and soak it overnight in egg batter - nothing better.
If you are going to eat carbs, eat them in the morning. And have a plan to work it off, before noon.
I generally stick to a Keto diet, but every two weeks or so, I allow myself a big breakfast.
Funny, I’ve only eaten it for breakfast, usually with bacon as a side. And I love to sprinkle powdered sugar on top instead of syrup.
