Technology in voting, no matter how secure it is claimed to be is eminently hackable and the output may or may not have any real relation to the input. Cheating can and does occur with paper ballots but it is much more tedious and requires far more people to accomplish as it has to be done precinct by precinct. Electronic voting can be controlled from central locations and whole systems are vulnerable.
The biggest problem with technology in voting is that the left is way better with tech than the right. That’s how they were able to run circles around the right in AZ. I watched some ballot curing in AZ and could instantly tell who was left and who was right. The conservative looked like a deer in the headlights while the dem clicked away rapidly on the computer.
I’ve built a few website for conservatives and they had trouble even logging in, let alone formatting a simple blog post. Compare that to any search results for a recipe. A gazillion liberal housewives that all know how to run their recipe site so well that they show up near the top of search results.
Conservatives can’t be bothered to learn basic tech so we’ll always lose the battle if it’s technology based.
