I know that this is divided by decades but personally I think the best 10 years of music is 1965-1974 or 1964-1973 or 1966-1975. I'd have to review each month on the end years to make the final call. Those intervals drop the pre-British invasion stuff but end before disco really got going. Swapping in the pre-disco stuff of the early 1970s for the pre-British Invasion of the early 1960s is a net positive in my mind.
