The Chargers have fans?

When Detroit played them it was full of Lions fans.

Years ago, New York Giants fans protested management by going to the stadium, standing outside and burning or teraing up their tickets. They also called WNBC-TV Channel 4 and told them NOT to broadcast the Giants-Chiefs game (Chiefs were also awful) even though it was a rare opportunity for what was then an AFC station to show a local Giants game. WNBC honored the request.

George Young and Ray Perkins were brought on board, and started the turn-around. Bill Parcells started out as linebackers coach and became head coach only a few years later. The fan protest forced an upheaval from the overly Mara-Robustelli run operation.

I don’t recall such dismal, mediocre play in the NFL. A lot of bad teams playing each other in bad games.

It's been a few years since I watched pro sports and now that I'm on the outside looking in, it's easy to see how silly it looks for grown men to be so emotionally invested in the performance of some ball clue that supposedly "represents" their hometown or alma mater.

Not to mention that the highly paid athletes have no loyalty to the "team" whatsoever and could be well be playing for a team in another town next season if the pay is a little better.

My wife, who had been nagging me for years not to waste time on such nonsense, had it right all along.

For somebody to win, somebody’s gotta lose. Nice to not have my sunday free time robbed since 1983.

Other than #52 on defense, the Chargers were just plain impotent and lethargic against the aggressive, tricky, Ravens.

Had to love the double-pass, though - it was cute as pie.

He should have been fired 2 years ago. The QB’s talent is wasted on this team

Why would anyone expect a team full of virtue whiners who knelt in solidarity with Communist organizations such as Black Lives MatterTM have any competence at all?

Let them all disappear into the dustbin of history.
