This is nothing but a witch hunt, and yet again, Ken Paxton, Texas’s attorney general, finds himself at the epicenter of a protracted legal saga. But Paxton stands resilient.
At the heart of the controversy lies the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, a foundational principle of our justice system. Legal challenges, rather than evidence of wrongdoing, are seen as an integral part of a fair process, underscoring the importance of due process in pursuing justice.
The absurd claim is that Paxton defrauded investors by encouraging them to fund a tech startup. The twist lies in the assertion that, unbeknownst to the investors, Paxton was receiving financial compensation for promoting the venture.
Paxton pleaded not guilty. He unequivocally asserts that the charges against him, which have lingered since 2011, are entirely fabricated. Despite the passage of time, he contends that the statutes of limitations on certain issues have been exceeded while simultaneously arguing that the laws in question were never applicable to him in the first place.
Politically motivated attacks form a pervasive theme. Paxton, targeted for his political stance, finds himself entangled in a web of calculated assaults that go beyond genuine legal concerns. The sheer number of these instances paints a vivid picture of a political battleground, where Paxton is a key player.
Beyond the legal intricacies, Paxton’s tenure as Texas Attorney General is marked by positive contributions that extend far beyond the courtroom drama. His impact resonates in policy initiatives, legal actions, and positive outcomes attributed to his leadership, offering a nuanced perspective that transcends the legal battles.
Amid the legal maelstrom, concerns loom large regarding fair treatment in both the media and the legal system. The bias witnessed in public discourse becomes a rallying point, fostering a sense of solidarity among those who perceive Paxton’s treatment

Why aren’t Eric Holder and Merrick Garland treated this way?
Derp Staters are immune to investigations and prosecutions.
Our side doesn’t have billionaires willing to fund such efforts.
Will he have the same job under Trump? He’s ‘only’ 60 y/o. That’s young.
.
What a wonderful idea. Make Paxton AG in a Trump administration. I like it!
Of course, he always will be because lawfare has proven to be a magic bullet for the left. Even when it fails it gains from its deployment.
They are going after Ken like they went after Flynn and even in a sense the Christian bakers who refused to bake a gay cake. The freaking left are nothing but thugs and mafia wanna-be’s
And also like they went after Kyle Rittenhouse and George Zimmerman- th3 left should be doing time for weaponizing lawfare!
And Republican cowards say nothing.
Bush league Republican Chip Roy asked Ken Paxton to resign even though the Senate trial showed there was zero evidence of wrong doing.
“Bush league Republican Chip Roy”
and now Chippy Roy is supporting DeSantis.
Wake up Texas!
At the heart of the newest Paxton controversy lies a foundational principle of the US justice system
<>> the “presumption of innocence until proven guilty,”
<><>”legal challenges,” not evidence of wrongdoing, prevail.
As concocted by a hate-filled Biden and endlessly visited on his opponent Trump,
the importance of “due process” in pursuing justice has been totally eliminated,
not considered an integral part of a “fair process.”
This is even more astonishing. Every air passenger who flew into
the DC area on or about J6 is being subjected to govt surveillance.
“On Fox News, Sonya LaBosco, Biden’s Director of the Air Marshals National Council said Air Marshals are surreptitously following Americans who flew into the DC area around Jan 6, 2021.
Vengeful Biden’s TSA has now ordered Air Marshals (who are DOT employes w/ no L/E duties):
<><>to follow J6 people who are not under any type of criminal investigation –
<><>they haven’t committed a crime,
<><>they have not been accused of wrongdoing,
<><>there is no evidence their J6 attendance was illegal,
<><>now years later Biden insists the govt must surveil them;
<><>Biden’s govt is spying on innocents citizens merely flying to DC around J6.
Why aren’t any Dems? Lawfare seems to be very one sided battle. I find myself absolutely opposed to it yet when only one side does it, it just invites more of it. The R’s (as always) need to figure out how to counter it or start utilizing it themselves.
