The ideological sewer known as social media was alight this week with the latest escalation in a feud that has been brewing for months, if not years: the Candace Owens versus Ben Shapiro showdown. This particular chapter began after Shapiro was recorded describing Owens’s weeks of “faux sophistication” regarding the Hamas terrorist attacks on Oct. 7 as “disgraceful.”
Owens apparently then cracked open Google and frantically copied and pasted a verse from Matthew that ends with, “You cannot serve both God and money,” to which Shapiro responded , “Candace, if you feel that taking money from The Daily Wire somehow comes between you and God, by all means quit.”
Now, one of the primary criticisms of Candace Owens’s rhetoric since Oct. 7 is that it’s intentionally vague, with carefully worded pseudo-analyses designed to either enrage or delight its readers without having to stand by a specific viewpoint or principle.
And as her amazingly timed interview with Tucker Carlson showed, she learned from the best.
During her interview, which began with Carlson comparing the treatment of Candace Owens to Galileo, the pair touched on a number of controversial subjects, including Ben Shapiro’s comments, Nikki Haley’s attitude toward free speech and Israel, and predictions for the 2024 election.
But the glue that held each of these segments loosely together was Tucker Carlson’s own brand of vile, conspiratorial, and often antisemitic garbage, masked using his trademark strategy of fake cluelessness and supposedly good-natured questions.

I’ve just noticed lately that there’s more and more articles coming out attempting to smear Tucker. First they smeared him as a racist xenophobe because he’s against open borders and because he dared mention that white are being demographically replaced. Now they’re attacking him because he questions just how far the US should involve itself militarily in the current Mideast crisis.
A reuters poll came out the other day showing only 29% of Americans wanted the US military to be involved over there. So does that make the other 69% antisemites? Maybe most Americans are just sick of spending all of our blood and treasure on these endless wars which never accomplish anything and are bankrupting our country in the process. The reason Tucker is so popular is because he expresses exactly the views of most of us on the right. The only people who don’t like him are the neocons.

To all of unaware of the wonderful relationship, filled with deep affection between Tucker and his mother, my relationship with my real father is no different.
I saw his mother and father more times than I will ever see this person before he dies.
He has always lived within one hour of me for 60 years.
I saw my grandma and grandpa for birthdays and Christmas’.
Helped my grandma make Scottish cookies and bread.
Listened to my grandpa’s wild stories.
Introduced girlfriends to them.

He met one friend who he has known for over 30 years and really only had disparaging thi gs to say of me. I don’t recall a compliment but, I recall many inventions about my childhood. Oddly, none of it is true and he wasn’t around anyway.
My Dad, who adopted me, at the age of 7 along with my brother and sister had our birth name changed through that adoption and our birth certificate says “ammended” on line 18.

My Dad has always been Interested in me. So much so, that somehow he found out I was acting as Senior Deacon for a Double 2nd Degree and came specifically to watch. Oh, he lives in Chicago and I’m in California
My Dad admires my accomplishments and wants to hear more about my life.
He has known the same friend the other man knows, for about the same time and has always enjoyed her company and wants to know what other adventure I’m off to.

I have spent my lifetime looking up to my Dad and like that little 5 year old I once was who tried to make as big a stride down the sidewalk as he did so gracefully (he is 6’ 2”) I still cannot keep his pace and somehow I still make him laugh.
I still look up to him.
My real father will die soon, which is anytime now, as he is in severe heart failure and not expected to live another six months.
I have no real life experiences with him, no real connection and therefore no deep emotion for him, in fact, very little.
His funeral will be 30 minutes from my home.
I may very well simply go to dinner.

Trump is a Jacksonoan Nationalist. He is willing to use deadly force if Americans are harmed or if American interests are threatened. Tucker is closer to a total Isolationist.

I think that’s a big part of it. I’m not so much anti-this or anti-that as I am America First. We’re broke and yet getting involved in conflicts all over the earth. I am not for sending taxpayer dollars to any other country. Call me an isolationist or any other epithet one likes, we are in precarious condition at home and can’t finance other countries’ wars.
