When you’re part of the population that has to write a check to the IRS, that $270,000 takes insult to another level. The political graft industry and bloated Administrative State must have really feared that President Trump would decimate their cash cow. I hope President Trump has that chance again.

Dumb idea of the week: Pay a big commission to Representatives and Senators that cut actual spending. Payment earned if a year over year cut was 100% actually achieved. The US Legislative body is coin operated, maybe the behavior should be driven by a value to US citizens vs. corporate and foreign interests. I’d rather a congresscritter earn $1M for having cut $200M, than having received a $1M campaign donation with a legislative agenda attached to it. This commission would also serve as a measure of effectiveness, and for those who receive a very low commission- reason to look a lot closer at how they’re being funded. Hell, it might even result in congresscritters actually pressuring each other to cut spending.
