A Florida man has been arrested and charged after he was caught on camera viciously punching an elderly shopper at a Walmart last month.
Joseph Albert McFadden, 34, has been accused of aggravated battery on elderly after he was seen brutally punching the victim twice in his face and fleeing the scene.
The unsettling attack occurred on October 11 at around 10am, as the victim, in his 80s, was leaving Walmart in Lauderdale Lakes with a shopping bag in his hands.
McFadden was arrested at another Walmart in the county last week after the store's security staff identified him and reported it to the police, according to the Miami Herald.
The 34-year-old from Lauderhill, Florida, remained at large for more than a month after the unprovoked attack, which was captured entirely by surveillance cameras at the store from different angles.
The victim 'suffered some cuts and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries,' sheriff's office spokesman Carey Codd told the Miami Herald.
'Detectives say the attacker did not steal anything from the victim, and the victim does not know the attacker and did not have words with him prior to the incident,' authorities said.
Surveillance footage captures McFadden emerging from the parking lot and confronting the victim just beyond the sliding doors of the Walmart store.
He swiftly punched the victim, who has not been identified, in his face twice without saying a word.
Then McFadden nonchalantly strolled away from the store's entrance, casually heading north on foot, as revealed by the footage.
He was seen in the video wearing a navy sweater with grey lettering on the front, black pants and flip flops.

Walmart makes heavy use of facial recognition software to track customers. I'll bet the computer recognized him and alerted security.
Immigration is also using facial recognition software at airports these days.

Not surprising, given the demographics of Lauderdale Lakes and Lauderhill.
And being that both cities are in Demonicrat-controlled Broward County, the attack of a Lauderdale Lakes-minority-person will not be treated as a hate crime.

I tried to explain that very fact to my white neighbor yesterday, citing my own personal experiences having been targeted to receive rudeness from overly aggressive black drivers, pedestrians, store employees, and customer service reps as well. He's a high school instructor. He's now thoroughly convinced I'm a complete racist. Unbelievable, how willingly blind so many of us are to raw reality.
He probably had to remove them and all other bling while in jail. How soon will a judge release him back out on the unsuspecting public?
