Daryl Hall has filed a lawsuit against his Hall & Oates bandmate John Oates.
The Grammy-nominated duo have broken up and reunited several times throughout their career with Hall, 77 and his trust, The Daryl Hall Revocable Trust, now suing Oates, 75, as well as his individual trust, The John W. Oates TISA Trust and its co-trustees, in the Nashville Chancery Court on Nov. 16, per The Philadelphia Inquirer.
With the documents being sealed and classified as a 'contract/debt' matter and neither party yet to make a statement on the situation, details of the lawsuit are slim.
However, TMZ claims the pair were 'in arbitration over some dispute,' possibly 'over division of royalties, or it could be over Oates singing their songs in solo acts'.
The outlet also reported Hall requested a restraining order against Oates, which the judge granted.

Thought their music was commercialized pap but the Daryl’s house videos are pretty cool
When I was there, there were dairy farms I used to walk to see the cows. Quite pastoral, except for the giant mall. Sad to hear about it going to pot.
“What did the Captain do?”
Tennille.
You can see rely on the old man’s money.
Yeah, but that’s a real *itch…
You’re “Out of Touch”
*Different feel when you take Art out.*
*Artie had the voice of an angel.*
Right on both counts. Solo careers of the side men went nowhere.
I think you might be thinking of John Hall from the band Orleans. He was a NY Congressman for a while... I think..
Their music uniformly sucked
Ping
I think they did great work in the 80s. Very sad to see these guys go after each other in such nasty ways.
The Bible is right when it says the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. When it can divide partnerships like this, people are diminished.
Not good.
“Their music uniformly sucked”
It’s A Laugh
Nope, Hall’s the guy. Check out his solo albums. Especially Sacred Songs, the album he made with Robert Fripp. The album that was so experimental the record company sat on it for 3 years.
+1
