Daryl Hall SUES Hall & Oates bandmate John Oates and is granted RESTRAINING ORDER in new 'contract/debt' lawsuit

Daryl Hall has filed a lawsuit against his Hall & Oates bandmate John Oates.

The Grammy-nominated duo have broken up and reunited several times throughout their career with Hall, 77 and his trust, The Daryl Hall Revocable Trust, now suing Oates, 75, as well as his individual trust, The John W. Oates TISA Trust and its co-trustees, in the Nashville Chancery Court on Nov. 16, per The Philadelphia Inquirer.

With the documents being sealed and classified as a 'contract/debt' matter and neither party yet to make a statement on the situation, details of the lawsuit are slim.

However, TMZ claims the pair were 'in arbitration over some dispute,' possibly 'over division of royalties, or it could be over Oates singing their songs in solo acts'.

The outlet also reported Hall requested a restraining order against Oates, which the judge granted.

Didn’t Oates run as a Democrat for something, perhaps they are opposite sides of the spectrum.

CD's and tapes are no longer selling because one can stream music now. People are buying records for nostalgia and novelty reasons. Royalties based upon music sells is not what it used to be. Sell the catalog now and get the money while the getting is good.

Really? I always figured Oates, like Simon, did all the work and Hall, like Garfunkel, was just there to be pretty.

I have just one Hall & Oates album. Abandoned Luncheonette. Great record. I had tickets to see them (and The Babies) in 1977 in Pittsburgh,PA. Radio station (WDVE) said "plenty of Hall & Oates tickets left." Me and a bud went down, bought two tickets and once inside discovered there were no seats left. Woman Pittsburgh cop tells us "you cant stand here you must find a seat." Not one seat was empty. We left. I called the station the next day and complained to them what happened. Man on the phone says he was just passing along info and hung up on me.
