Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota recently sent service members a text message warning them that their “continued service” could be in jeopardy if they attended a local rally featuring a speaker from an organization that has historically been supportive of former President Donald Trump.
In the text message sent to the Air Force base’s service members, leadership warned “participation with groups such as Turning Point Action could jeopardize their continued service in the U.S. military.”
Leadership warned Air Force members that some of the people attending the rally “could be confrontational to military members.”

Turning Point Action spokesperson explained that the recent “Dakota Patriot Rally” event was not officially recognized by the organization; however, the spokesperson described the threatening message sent by Air Force leaders as “absolutely appalling.”
“Tyler Bowyer was simply a keynote speaker. Secondly, Turning Point Action is not alt-right, it’s a mainstream conservative organization, and Tyler Bowyer is not some fringe personality—he’s the COO of TPAction, an RNC committeeman from the state of Arizona, and one of the most accomplished political organizers in the country,”
spokesperson also emphasized the “shocking and totally unacceptable” concept that military members could jeopardize their careers by participating with Turning Point Action.
“This should set off alarm bells throughout North Dakota and DC, that something is terribly wrong at the Minot Air Force base.”
“It’s exactly this type of poison that has caused the Air Force to miss its recruiting goal for the first time in decades,”

You might want to educate yourself before incorrectly stating false facts.
“Nothing new. Regs always prohibited troops from attending political events. Of course.”
Of course not. Maybe in China but not here. BullCrap!!
“That’s probably so. I would have to review.”
That’s OK, I already have and you are no authority over me.
While in uniform.
No it doesn’t. What it prohibits is attending in uniform. Big difference.
Yes. As I stated in post 37
“Yep. Directive 1344.10
Can attend out of uniform.
I’m corrected. Apologies.”
But go ahead. just keep flaming.

That is not true. Military regulations preclude wearing the uniform at a political rally but individuals have the right to Free Speech.

Dig deeper and you will find a (woke) wing commander looking for a promotion and a star.
It is the only qualification needed for today’s military.
Why not Minot?
Freezin’s the reason!
Pulled back quick like touching a hot stove. Good lesson.
Well, the USAF then needs to issue the same warning to any AF service member about attending ANY political rally, meeting, confab, workshop, etc., REGARDLESS the party affiliation or sponsor. Failure to do so exposes the USAF as partisan, and THAT is anathema to the function and purpose of the US military.
BTW: I am a USAF veteran.
I think everyone is mystified by your participation on this thread and the sureness of your posts although you don’t know anything about it.
These Air Force bitches need a reckoning. If service members choose to go to this on their own time and not in uniform, it’s up to them.
In uniform. They can show up and support a politician on their own time if they want.
And bet your ass if it was a Bidung rally, there would be no message.
I don’t believe that. They just can’t wear a uniform.
“But go ahead. just keep flaming.”
Sorry. I started flaming before reading 37 comment.
Note to self: Read all the comments before flaming.
I don’t believe that is true. I could look it up but won’t. I think the only regulation is you can’t attend a political event in uniform or in an official capacity.
