He has to say ridiculous things like this to earn his multi-million dollar paycheck from MSNBC. I imagine he’s way too smart for this. He privately, inwardly knows his words are all nonsense and lies. But if he wants all that money to keep rolling in, he’d better spew it.
He spouts what viewers want to hear and gets paid handsomely for it. It's TV, pure entertainment, it's not supposed to be accurate unbiased news reports, it's Leftwing commentary.
