My question earlier was if there was a gas pedal problem why didn’t he take it to the repair shop?

If you have a $300,000 car, I’d think you would maintain it.

And.....if there WAS a gas pedal problem......

Are their recall notices, on this model Bentley, for said issue?

Is there a service receipt, for this car, for this issue?

Or, is Bentley hiding a faulty gas pedal problem?

It has to be one of the above.

My guess is only a few places will work on Bentleys,it was like that with rolls and a few other brands. Also, sounds like a very busy couple.
These were the kind of people that donated 250 turkeys to the neighborhood, appears they were beloved.
I’ll ask around and see if anyone knew them down here.

The question I have is - how old is the Bentley? I mean, if it’s really old, then I can see mechanical throttle issues. I had a throttle on my Maverick stuck wide open once. I kicked the gas petal a few time and it snapped back closed. I later added another big spring to make sure that the throttle would close when I took my foot off the gas pedal. Old cars, no money, we made do with our first cars.

But the Bentley, if it’s relatively new, is probably “drive by wire” which means that there’s no mechanical connection between the bas petal and the actual throttle. It’s most likely all electronically controlled.

And hackable, perhaps.

I don’t think the story that they made up is true. It’s a long, long ways from my 71 Maverick with the gummed-up sticky Carter 1 barrel carburetor and a late model Bentley.
