Rats. Feed them chewing gum. They can't digest it. It will not kill predators like owls or hawks or snakes that can more easily catch them because they are moving slowly.

I used double bubble and all my ground squirrels disappeared. Tree squirrels chewed it and left long strings of chewed up gum. Might help to cut it in smaller pieces so they can it it down in one piece. Good luck.
