Let’s hear from the victim...
“He should be 100% focused on being a fun-loving football-playing young man”
I think he was having some fun.
The family of the 17 year old boy just released the information that he has been hospitalized due to severe shoulder damage due to thousands of high-fives. Our thoughts and prayers are with him.
BS, the kid has great memories that will last a lifetime.
His only regret will be that he couldn't keep his mouth shut, and likely bragged to his buddies.
Meanwhile in Ohio and the recently passed Constitutional Amendment:
Article I, Section 22. The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety
A. Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on:
1. contraception;
2. fertility treatment;
3. continuing one’s own pregnancy;
4. miscarriage care; and
5. abortion.
B. The State shall not, directly or indirectly, burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against either:
1. An individual’s voluntary exercise of this right or 2. A person or entity that assists an individual exercising this right,
“Every individual” it says. “Included but not limited to” it says.
So if a 27 year old teacher decides to be impregnated by a 17 year old student, is it constitutionally protected? If a 17 year old student decides to be impregnated by a 27 year old, is it constitutionally protected?
I wish she was my teacher when I was 17
Charged with Battery. I guess the battery in her pocket rocket died.
Half the guys in my high school class way back in the dark ages were poring the teachers. These stories do nothing but ruin many lives. It’s nit nice to fool Mother Nature...
I agree. Like it or not, the double standard still lives. The boy is 17, not 13, What happened to him is still called getting lucky among 17 year old boys. I never heard of a 17 year old boy winding up in therapy for getting lucky with an attractive “older woman”. Having said that, since she was his teacher, she needs to be fired for violating school policy.
Yeah sure! Give us a break.
The 17-year-old student is old enough to go to war. He should have been grateful and kept his mouth shut.
lots of moms have issue with their sons having sex. no, mommy, they don’t think about you 24/7.
27 and 17......meh. doubt he’s scarred but why go tell mommy?
‘She ruined our son’s life’
I doubt that very much.....
Unless she was mocking his manhood or something like that, I think that a teenage guy doing the teacher is more likely to have the opposite effect from “trauma”. OTOH, it would of course be completely different for girls. It is all a power thing that I think most people understand innately. In this case, I think Mother is just projecting what she would feel, not to mention fishing for that payout.
I hear about this often enough to come to the conclusion there is a cohort of women who see it as their duty to help boys become men. It would not be surprising that they would be attracted to teaching as a profession. I don’t think anyone in academia would have enough guts to research this, but it would be interesting and instructive to learn more about the dynamics at play.
it’s not just you.
Many lives affected here, but the 17 y/o's life is not ruined.
A person in a authority position of trust commits a crime when they sexually prey on others, especially in a school.
