A former South Carolina teacher was arrested Wednesday for preying on a 17-year-old high school football player, according to a local news station.
Married mother-of-two Reagan Anderson, 27, is facing two counts of sexual battery on a Holly Hill Academy student for the alleged abuse, WCSC reported.
The alleged victim's mother blasted Anderson at a bond hearing on Thursday.
"A trusted coach, teacher and friend that abused our trust and violated her oath as an educator. She has ruined our son's life," the teen's mother read from a statement in court.
"He should be 100% focused on being a fun-loving football-playing young man, but this predator has robbed him of that ability. No young quarterback or athlete is safe in our community if this woman is free," the outraged mother continued.
The judge set Anderson's bond at $2,500 and told her not to have any contact with the victim or his family. She was released with a GPS monitor the same day.

The way I read the law, is that the father is also an individual with a right to determine whether abortion etc. should occur. he has a ‘right’ to his reproductive rights.

The Ohio amendment, like Amendment 14 Section 1 equal protection, is limited to individuals and should not be applied to groups of two or more.

Mother obviously, is looking for a civil suit here, and yes, I agree with you 100%. It didn’t hurt my life...(hoops!)
Unless she was mocking his manhood or something like that, I think that a teenage guy doing the teacher is more likely to have the opposite effect from “trauma”. OTOH, it would of course be completely different for girls. It is all a power thing that I think most people understand innately. In this case, I think Mother is just projecting what she would feel, not to mention fishing for that payout.
I hear about this often enough to come to the conclusion there is a cohort of women who see it as their duty to help boys become men. It would not be surprising that they would be attracted to teaching as a profession. I don’t think anyone in academia would have enough guts to research this, but it would be interesting and instructive to learn more about the dynamics at play.
