I haven't looked yet, but I suspect you are correct.
So the restaurant doesn’t take the Race Card in full payments. Are they Crackers opposed to Rep-ar-a-tions?
Confirmed. Went to the story. Amish again.
For large groups, actually, most restaurants do do this. And they usually have it posted on the menu or somewhere so the alert customer will not be surprised. If you make a reservation over the phone they may even tell you then.
Sadly the dine-n-dash mentality would have done this anyway, even without the excuse of an added gratuity.
I’ve been friends with Africans from Africa in my previous international life. I can’t post what they told me privately about their thoughts of African-Americans.
You just explained the reason why I will not eat at places like Chiptole and Panera Bread.
“We want a table for 20”
“We don’t have any available”
“There is one right there”
“And we are out of food”
“Those people are getting food”
“They got the last crab legs”
“Oh well you won’t get our money”
“Yeah we already knew that”
Was it them again Yogi?
I did look. Full stop correct.
Just put the price of the meal on the menu and the price of the drink as well.
Tip your plumber so that he will do a good job instead of a mediocre job, especially when he is doing a repair out in the rain at 2 am so that you will be able to take a shower in the morning, or you can just trust that he is always doing his best which is what we really do, or we start using a different company and/or his boss fires him.
The Mayor of Richmond Va always does a dine-and-dash. He thinks he shouldn’t have to pay. Restaurants have started slow walking his service or outright refusing to serve him unless someone else is picking up the tab.
Looks to me from video they were mostly white but it’s hard to tell from it.
+1.
IT better be printed in huge letters on the front cover of the menu or is should not count legally. Who reads every fine print in a menu? There is so much of it. Things like “Add a side salad for” “substitute for” When I see it on the front cover then I can say no thanks before ordering. And it people chose to pay it it is still not a tip because it did not ensure anything. It is not based on the quality of service.
Nope.
“were allegedly unhappy with the 20% gratuity”
Blacks don’t like helping others.
Amish?
My neighbor used to be a waitress. We went out to dinner once and found out she worked at the restaurant my wife and I were at. She had the two of us and a large group of Amish Canadians, 20-25 people.
The restaurant is one of the most expensive in our town. I found out later that the large group only tipped $50. Ours was $20 for two of us.
“Crazy Cajun Seafood in Houston, Texas”
Hummm, some of those Hurricane Katrina transplants is my guess.
