A Bronx judge released the two brutes accused of pummeling a cop on Monday in a move that was slammed by one NYPD union leader as “upside down.”
Kaream McClary, 23, and Izayiah Jessamy, 20, were arraigned Tuesday on assault charges for allegedly beating up Officer John Hernandez after he and his partner asked the suspects to put out their cigarettes at the Freeman Street subway station, according to court documents and the NYPD.
At their hearing in Bronx Criminal Court, prosecutors requested bail set at $10,000 or $30,000 bond.

See now, in any other city this would be a winkwinknudgenudge to the coppers: “He is out and findable. Wut, I have to spell it out to you?”
Would have been in NYC too, not so long ago. What was left of the brutes would have been found in an alley where they had beaten each other up mercilessly in an apparent falling-out.
Looks like Kaream and Izayiah and a third party yet to be identified are walking. The judge is just sure that they’ll turn up in court. Anyone who is skeptical is, you know, just a racist bigot...
Judges are supposed to be held accountable when the run for re-election. Secret balloting shields the voters from accountability.
