A yet-to-be-identified man who was arrested in connection to the murder of hockey player Adam Johnson has reportedly been released on bail.
Johnson died after the skate blade of his fellow player, Matt Petgrave, slashed his throat during a hockey game. Petgrave was missing in action from his team's recent game but received a standing ovation from the crowd.
According to The Sun, the man who was arrested yesterday in connection to the death of Johnson has been bailed. At the moment, the identity of the detained individual charged on suspicion of manslaughter has yet to be revealed.
In a prior statement on the case, Detective Chief Superintendent Becs Horsfall noted, "Our investigation launched immediately following this tragedy and we have been carrying out extensive enquiries ever since to piece together the events which led to the loss of Adam in these unprecedented circumstances."
"We have been speaking to highly specialised experts in their field to assist in our inquiries and continue to work closely with the health and safety department at Sheffield City Council, which is supporting our ongoing investigation," Horsfall added.
Per the news outlet, a coroner who opened an inquest into Johnson's death cautioned that there might be more fatal accidents in ice hockey if neck guards are not mandated for players.

I’m afraid they’re going to arrest someone for making Petgrave angry. The poor guy was triggered. It wasn’t his fault.
I don’t even think it’s possible to lift your skate that high while falling. You need the other foot to be planted firmly to do so, IMO.
Yes, but only if you’re doing so deliberately. You don’t lift your leg that high if you’re falling or trying to regain your balance.

True. But the left decided long ago to wage a war on common sense. They believe people will act irresponsibly if they are told the truth. BTW, irresponsibly to them, means, anything that may threaten their hold on power (i.e. freedom and justice).
Neck guards? Seriously? To protect themselves from people carrying knives, machetes and throwing their legs into necks? May as well put them all on rollerskates and wearing the same equipment as the goalie.
I played hockey in high school. I never saw anyone lift a skate like that. It certainly didn’t look good.

👍..i’ve taken martial arts. That was a jump side kick...and he used the other player as leverage grabbing on briefly. It was fast, but you can clearly see it on the slow-mo.
That kick goes into the solar plexus, sternum, or throat (head).
Royal Crown Court prosecutor needs to find out if he had MA training. He’s done other dirty stuff in the past.
I would guess he could learn that sorta kick without actual training.

It looks that way. I originally thought cops were overreacting to an accident but the video looks intentional.
