An Alabama prisoner who was allegedly killed after he was raped and tortured by another inmate leaves behind his fiancée, Amber Williams, and an infant daughter.
Daniel Williams, 22, had been serving a 12-month prison sentence for second-degree theft at Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore, Alabama, when a warden found him unresponsive in his cell on October 22.
After the prison initially said that Williams suffered a 'drug overdose,' his family was informed by a nurse that Williams had been 'kidnapped, bound, assaulted and sold out' by another inmate for 'two or three days.'

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of freedom convicted criminals obtain in prison. Access to education, to recreation and to the opportunity to abuse each other should not even be on the radar.
Don’t steal. Don’t go to prison.
You better you just pray you never get falsely imprisoned for a crime you didn’t commit.
Remember this incident when anyone campaigns against capital punishment.
Maybe he shouldn’t have committed a theft.
Don’t protest stolen elections .... Don’t go to prison.
You’re right that he shouldn’t have done that. However, in a just society, we don’t put people in prisons to be tortured like it’s medieval society. His sentence was a year sentence, not death.
Exactly.
I’m very much in favor of appropriately punishing criminals.
I’m very much opposed to creating playgrounds for violent perverts. I’m very suspicious of people who approve of violent perverts raping people to death.
So, you are a support of Islamic punishments in prison.
Or his children.
I’m more a fan of public humiliation therapy. Build a set of stocks on a flatbed truck and drive around town for a few hours. A large sign on the truck featuring the malefactors name and offense.
Public humiliation therapy.
I don’t have a problem with that. Something quick, for minor crimes, and only use prison for serious offenses.
Absolutely, but in this day and age bad outcomes are a reality and that should factor in before bad choices are made.
I’m with you. The worst crimes are being committed in our name. There’s no reason these facilities can’t provide safety for those in their charge. It’s a failure of will in the system.
Sorry, accepting the idea that people deserved to be raped until death a cultural issue, not a consequence.
Nobody deserves to be raped for death for a $1000 theft. Are you fine with the J6’rs being raped, because of the crime of resisting the liberal desire to enslave America? That’s a consequence, are you ok with it?
Exactly.
Sadly, looking at this kids photo I see a young man with a bad upbringing and a racial identity crisis.
He thought that with his hip-hop appearance and knowledge of rap, the brothers in prison would accept him.
Instead, they murdered him.
I’m not fine with any of it it’s just a fact. Poor kid was tortured and murdered for what would be a rounding error in an atomic weight compared to crimes committed in our name by those in high office and protected classes. I never said he “deserved” it, just merely pointed out bad choices can have really bad unforeseen consequences.
Also I do know one thing. As a participant of the tea party march on Washington I considered going to Trump’s speech on the mall, but I never would have participated in entering the Capitol. Conservatives should have known better.
In today’s world people have to really weigh their choices and protect themselves from unintended bad outcomes.
I agree with you. This kid would be a prime example. Whoop him in public and send him home. Let the scars and the pain be reminder not to do that crap again.
