This is true about horses - I've never understood if it's their sheer, comforting size, or their temperament; but I loved being around them and in the barn when they had gotten down to their hay and feed.

What a wonderful story. She was one of a kind. A very few individuals stand out in history like she did. I'm glad to have lived to witness reports of her; and also to have met Dwight D. Eisenhower, and to have heard Pavarotti in live performance, twice.
