I thought for sure Soul Man would be on the list. /s
Oops! Sorry, posted on the wrong thread.
The city allows a business to stack pallets near the freeway 10 million people are inconvenienced because homeless people were allowed to steal electricity.
Yep it’s California alright.
ALL of the reports - and I mean all of them (I live locally) said that the fire started in a “pallet yard” under the freeway overpass - and the homeless had scattered.
Thank God I am retired b/c that was one of my routes to attend regular meetings.
Re-opening of that section of the 10 freeway (and yes that is how it is referred in California) is “indefinite” at the moment.
Newsom is too busy clearing out homeless in San Francisco to be bothered b/f his Chinese buddy visits.
The school I worked in had all of the copper wiring stolen out of the air conditioners - the copper pipes that lead out of the bathrooms were also stolen.
Fortunately, didn’t take long to replace (I think b/c children) - and the new “fixings” were not copper.
Hearing traffic reports since yesterday as to how to get around the closure - sounds like a nightmare.
I have to travel in that direction tomorrow and I’m going to have to do a huge drive around on out of the way freeways so I don’t get caught in that mess.
Great. Right before the holidays and re-opening is “indefinite” - if it’s Cal Trans it could be years...
But the politically correct term is "more unhoused". Or would it be "less housed"?
When the government gives them “free homes” i.e., the “angry black woman mayor’s ‘safe inside’ program” - they are almost immediately destroyed.
Heard a local pastor on the radio that was in charge of seven buildings that were constructed to get the homeless off the street - they were allowed to bring their drugs and alcohol inside otherwise they weren’t coming in. The pastor said each and every building was turned into a drug market and each apartment systematically destroyed. All seven buildings have been condemned, and there is no money for repair.
Ain’t socialism grand?

Im a bit more jaded.
Our Hiways(freeways)
were created for rapid military deployment foremost.
A few more incidents like this and I’ll totaly beleive we have enemy combat infiltrated cells conducting attacks on infrastructure hiding behind plausible deniability.
Oh wait. Too late. Already do.
I prefer “more unhoused” as you have more, which is always better in the US.
>They did NOT say *what* burned up.
Gov Hairgel said it was arson. Cars, hand sanitizer, pallets burned.

LA is turning into Mumbai...
Just yesterday this LA Times published this reminder...
The 1994 earthquake broke the 10 Freeway. How L.A. rebuilt it in record time
But, can California still work as well today as it did 25 years ago? Remains to be seen.
The people paying for that electricity are the people who were driving to work on that freeway so they could pay their electricity bills and taxes.
As always, the left causes maximum pain to the honest, productive people but gives infinite privileges and favors to the non-productive ones.
The State of CA has already announced it was arson.
Intentionally set.
Not an accident due to power theft.

He ha ha ha...
I didn’t follow the details of this story, but how would a fire do that kind of damage to bridge. What was the fuel source? Did they grow trees under the bridge.
No mention of the homeless causing it. They did say a near by homeless encampment had to be evacuated. Shirley they wouldn't lie?
