Hearing traffic reports since yesterday as to how to get around the closure - sounds like a nightmare.
I have to travel in that direction tomorrow and I’m going to have to do a huge drive around on out of the way freeways so I don’t get caught in that mess.
Great. Right before the holidays and re-opening is “indefinite” - if it’s Cal Trans it could be years...

Recall after the Northridge earthquake that the State and Caltrans dangled a BIG bonus out there if the contractors would finish the repair work ahead of schedule and, SHAZAM! The work got completed WAY ahead of the originally projected schedule.
Just yesterday this LA Times published this reminder...
The 1994 earthquake broke the 10 Freeway. How L.A. rebuilt it in record time
But, can California still work as well today as it did 25 years ago? Remains to be seen.
