Senior airline pilots typically make circa $400,000 per year, so Davydov was well paid before the war, and living cheaply in Ukraine.

Today he is one of the most popular YouTubers reporting daily on Ukraine, but neither his income nor expenses are known and are simply assumed in order to throw mud where there are no serious facts to present.

Nobody knows Davydov's Ukraine draft status, so claims of "draft dodger" are simply pro-Russian propagandists hurling insults because they have no real facts or arguments to offer.

Russia today, with its Axis of Evil -- China, North Korea and Iran -- are together in the same place as the old Axis of Evil in the 1930s:

1. Imperial Japan began invading China in 1931 -- "not our war"

2. Fascist Italy began invading Ethiopia in 1936 -- "not our war"

3. Nazi Germany began occupying the Rhineland in 1936 and invading its neighbors in 1938 -- "not our war"

All of those were "not our war" until years later they suddenly all became our war, at a much higher cost in blood and treasure than would have been had we stepped in sooner.

Those are basic lessons of history that everyone understood, and nobody forgot until just these past few years.

By contrast, Ukrainians have done their best since before the 2004 Orange Revolution to defeat their own corrupt officials and oligarchs.
While Russians have been under the thumb of Vlad the Invader since 1999, Ukrainians have constitutionally elected five presidents and six new parliaments.

Well worth noting again, comparing Russia, the USA and Ukraine:

1. Russians are 47% Christians, 45% no formal religion

2. The USA is 64% Christians, 30% no formal religion

3. Ukrainians are 85% Christians, 12% no formal religion

On average, Ukrainian Christians are better people than we are, much better than your average Russian.
