Lots of gas pumps and they have very wide isles so that you can pull a camper or big trailer in and our easily. Plus huge parking lots.
Clean restrooms with lots of facilities.
Good road trip food.
No big rigs allowed.
Lots if young folks working there (jobs)
I have seen the growth of Buc-ees since their first store in Lake Jackson TX. On a driving trip to Virginia, I saw one in eastern Tennessee.
We have four now in Alabama: Athens, Auburn, Leeds and Loxley.
When Dad & Grandpa wanted to 'make a day of it' and we'd all cram into the station wagon for a seemingly ENDLESS ride to a BORING location like a Car Factory tour or a Fishing Museum they'd shut us 'women folk' up with a stop at Howard Johnson's for Ice Cream. Sis and I would spend most of the trip deciding what flavor cone we would have; they had SO MANY to choose from! Grandpa's choice never varied: Butter Brickle.
Now they're both gone and what I wouldn't GIVE to be trapped in the car with them both for the day, going anywhere. *LOVE*
