The idea of leaving an inheritance was eliminated BY the baby boomers. "There are none so incharitable as the recipients of charity" is a truism proved by the boomers who were, themselves, the recipients of the greatest inter-generational transfer of wealth in human history. Never before was so much unearned money and property inherited by a people so unworthy. Never before did one generation so impoverish and indebt another.

Really. I’m a Boomer and it’s just crazy how do many do without so they can leave a ton of money for their kids. What’s up with that? Let them earn it.
