I wonder how many students from South Africa were among the 300,000 higher education students in Kharkiv before Russia attacked and drove them all away. I know a lot feom Africa were having a hard time getting home after the invasion.
Does anyone have a list of the number from each home country of all those students?
Odessa is another city where many foreign students studied in times of peace. The first time my wife ever saw a Black person was when she was a little girl in the Soviet Union in Odessa at the shore. She remembers her mother telling her not to be frightened. At the time the Soviets were bringing in numbers of African students.
