Many years ago, in the Navy, i had the privilege of spending a few weeks in Keflavik Iceland and enjoyed several trips to this magical place. It’s actually the “outflow” reservoir of the nearby geothermal power station. The water is hot, in some places dangerously so, but near the resort facility it Is safely so but still hot. Anyway, it was winter when we were there but the thing that sticks in my mind is that even in the 100 degree+ water, ice crystals would form in your hair. Very unique place.

Oh, and Icelandic women are mostly gorgeous and the men are almost universally big dudes who were very protective of their women. If you understand my meaning. 😎

Vestmannaeyjar will not be evacuated even if the water pipeline fails The drinking water pipeline to the Vestmanna Islands is so badly damaged that it cannot be repaired and it could give way at any time. There is no need to evacuate the islands, but to transfer water there on a large scale if necessary.
