"Denys Davydov is perhaps unique in being a Ukrainian born and raised in Crimea, who is today clearly encouraged in his work by people in Ukraine's government."

Denny boy is of military age and is a Youcraynian who is blatantly dodging the draft at a time when his country is running out of soldiers. Instead of fulfilling his duty as a patriot and man, he's instead hiding out in Switzerland, living large, while his fellow Youcraynians fight and die for their country. That makes him an absolute scumbag - everything he posts should therefore be taken for what it is; unreliable, jingoistic crap.

Please stop trying to defend the indefensible simply because you are madly in love with one of Eastern Europe's most corrupt nations. BTW, why are you so in love with Youcrayne, a sinkhole of corruption from top to bottom and at every level of society?

You say, "Denny boy"??

Denys Davydov is one of several YouTubers who report daily on Ukraine war events, and among the most popular.
A former airline pilot, his current draft status is unknown, though there is no recent record of him being called to military service.

Nor is there public confirmation about Davydov "hiding out in Switzerland", much less "living large" there.

As for "unreliable", I've often watched Davydov's reports and several others too, finding nothing "unreliable" or inconsistent in any of them.

But perhaps the most interesting claim here is that Davydov's reports are "jingoistic", a very odd term to use for a Ukrainian patriot reporting on his own country's War of Independence from Russia.
It's hard to imagine how "jingoism" can even apply -- it would be like calling our Gen. George Washington a "jingoist" during our own Revolutionary War -- it's a ridiculous, inappropriate term.

However, to call Davydov a Ukrainian patriot is not at all unfair, and should be plenty adequate to explain away any allegation of "draft dodging", since his YouTube work is clearly more valuable than anything he might do directly in the Ukrainian military.

What is 100% indefensible is Vlad the Invader's "special military operations" in Ukraine, they are far beyond the pale of civilized behavior, they are a throw-back to old Soviet and Tsarist style empire building and so utterly unacceptable.

Ukraine itself is far from the most corrupt of countries, manifestly less corrupt that Vlad the Invader's Russia, and arguably doing more to battle its corruption than is our own pathetic Democrat administration here.

As for Ukrainian people themselves, it's worth noticing that those supposed defenders of traditional values, like Vlad the Invader in Russia are vastly more corrupt and less committed to traditional moral values than most Ukrainians.

Here again is the comparison of Russian vs. US vs. Ukrainian traditional values:

  1. Russia is 47% Christian, 45% no formal religion

  2. The USA is 64% Christian, 30% no formal religion

  3. Ukrainians are 85% Christian, 12% no formal religion
In terms of constitutional democratic values, Ukrainians have elected five new presidents during the years Russia has been ruled over by Vlad the Invader.

So it's not even close as to which side is in the right and which side wrong and that's why any non-Russian support for Russian insanity is beyond the reach of rational understanding.
