when I was 13 I thought Billy Jack was the coolest thing ever. I watched it again as an adult and it’s maybe the gawd-awful thing I’ve ever seen.

Now The Dirty Harry series still holds up. All around good casting, story and a great soundtrack.

A testament to the manipulative power of film on young skulls full of mush. There were some others,,,”Thr Cross and the Switchblade,” “Bless the Beasts and Children”. (I saw that in school).

I had the same exact thought when I read “Billy Jack”.

LOL....saw that on my 11 yr birthday. We thought we were going to see 101 Dalmations. When the girls shirt came off my mom marched me and my buddies out of the show.

We were walking backwards!

She then spent the next two hours making phone calls explaining what happened!

A girl friend got me to go see it with her. It was nauseating and sappy. I was silently rooting for the rednecks by the end.
