I would not consider the Princess and the Frog to be liberal or woke. It showed a black young woman living with her hard-working mother and father that shape her values as a hard working woman who finds marriage.
They changed the local, the classes, the race, and just about EVERYTHING in the originals fairy tale Disney STOLE the plot from. It's disgusting!
I never watched the “Princess and the Frog,” but, you’re right, the plot summary does not sound like it has a liberal theme at all.
