If you ever get a chance visit Uranus MO. Biggest attraction is their fudge factory. It’s a great little tourist attraction.

Apparently, the original ancient Greek pronunciation was oo-ra-’nos (Οúρανός)
I like it!

This is total BS (and that doesn’t stand for “bomb shell”).

I’m so immature. Every time I see any article on Uranus, I giggle and open the comments to see the comic genius of the freeper community. Yes, I must admit, the headline elicited a guffaw.
I’m thinking the writer of said headline had a smile as he/she wrote it.

Uranus is the only planet with a Greek name, and even then it should be Ouranos.
All the other planets have Roman names. If Ouranos did too it would be called Caelus.
Problem is, Caelus doesn’t lend itself to crude jokes.
To: BenLurkin
The astronomical community has had just about enough with all the dumb Uranus jokes. A secret vote was held, and a new name for Uranus has now been adopted.
The new name for the seventh planet is Urectum.

Myanus? No!
= = =
That would be:
Hisaunus
Heranus
Or Itsanus
HEY. I get to do pronouns!
