Sounds like they're analyzing subatomic particles? Don't you need a particle accelerator to do that?

It’s a PET scan. It’s used to identify radioactive sugars that are consumed at higher rates than other cells in the body.

I just had one. The cancer lit up like a spotlight.

My kidneys and bladder also lit up as my body was getting rid of it.
