An anti-Trump group produced four ads attacking his legal troubles. They backfired.

The behind-the-scenes deliberations around the ads underscores how Trump’s legal problems have, if anything, helped — not hurt — his standing in the primary. With the first nominating contest less than three months away, a swath of Republican voters is making it clear they see Trump as the victim of the legal system, not a violator of it.

Not only will ads like these backfire, the entire persecution of Trump will come back to bite the left. Making Trump a martyr, where even left leaning folks perceive the bias, is an unintended consequence of a desperate group of criminals.

These ads expose the lawsuits as a total sham just to get him off the ballot. I think voters have had enough of state apparatchiks pulling the strings and deciding who they want you to vote for.

IF the Biden Justice Department was considered clean by GOP voters, these ads and the entire strategy of bringing down Trump via the legal system might get some traction.

The problem is that the GOP Base see the OBVIOUS Third World tactics of those in DC running our Justice Department, and there is simply NO WAY that we can ever give them the benefit of the doubt - EVER!

But the BIG MONEY Republican types are so disconnected from reality that they really believe that it’s 32 years ago, 1992, when a string of last-minute indictments against Bush Sr. (5 days before the election...when most people DID NOT vote by mail, or early vote) managed to push Bill Clinton over the finish line in an election he was about to lose.

This isn’t 1992 anymore and that crap no longer works on the GOP base, and I guess these clowns needed to spend their many millions to find out the OBVIOUS, rather than make any effort to defeat Biden.

Something of a "Trojan Horse's Ass".

I wonder if DemonRatz even know how to fight fair - not that they ever would.

This is true at all levels and types of conflict. Once you start a fight, the other party has a say in how it goes. What I’d like to see and what almost never happens is reasoned debate. You believe X then convince me you’re right, not that the opponent is an evil miscreant who will lead us all to ruin. I think the reason we never get this debate is X is a stalking horse for the real agenda. If we saw the real agenda, we’d back away in horror.

I’ve noticed several Democrats I know act as though we should give some kind of credence to the charges against President Trump. No. Its the exact opposite. The charges are obviously bogus banana republic style lawfare and the fact that they would resort to this obviously desperate and massively corrupt tactic shows all the more how weak their own candidate is. They know full well he can’t stand on the merits. He’s done a terrible job in office while Trump had everything rolling along from foreign policy to the economy to the border.

Agree. We must win in the next election...Senate, House and President.
IMHO Trump is the only one tough enough to turn things around on day one...but I wonder if he can win. I’m voting for straight R no matter what.

Yes. I was playing golf with a guy who was gloating about the 93 counts. I replied that Trump was innocent of all these false charges. Can’t you recognized a political witch hunt when you see one? He dropped the topic. No Trumpers and Dems don’t like push back.

Anti Trump ads run often on Tubi. There’s one particularly annoying ad featuring a whining suburban woman complaining that she is exhausted by the drama surrounding Trump. I say vile things to her when she appears.

There are mob bosses, Al Capone, John Gotti, Carlo Gambino, Sam Giancana, Tony Accardo, Persico, Bonanno, etc, who have never had to face 93 charges in their lifetimes, let alone all at the same time. If there were only around 2 or 3 charges, it would be believable that the charges have merit to them. But 93 is huge overkill.

It’s unfortunate that some can’t see how this is a tyrannical abuse of power by those bringing these charges about. But there are also people who do see this, but still support it because they’re tyrants who would love nothing better than to have their political opposition locked up for the crimes of thinking and speaking differently from them

When primaries come we have to pick the best candidate available. That is Trump by a wide, wide margin. Trump haters need to get someone better if they want him out, not just concentrate on destroying Trump.

The true agenda of the Left is the agenda of any would-be tyrant: sabotage any attempt at Constitutional self-governance.

If this Republic succeeds, tyranny fails - so they aim to destroy the Constitution - it’s that simple.
