Spain, on the other hand, is a particularly clean country. Cleanliness is a national obsession almost. You could eat off their toilet seats.

I used to shop at a nice German store for their imported foods and good quality meat. It was not a large store, and the aisles were not terribly spacious. If the store was busy with middle-aged to older German women, well, let’s just say you’d best not get in their way.

I completely understand German men sitting down....I wouldn’t want to face the consequences of a stray drop.
