Sorry I wasn’t clear - I was referring to some of the other lists she had...
That was funny. Crazy movie.
Oh...okay.
“I’m gonna get you, Sucka!”....very funny....
That was a sweet funny movie.
I agree……seen them all .
…
That’s a good movie too, but NOT one of the funniest ones.
I liked animal house..as in “suppose college was really like that.” I kinda felt it was sorta based on “American Graffiti” in that it covered the zany acts of college life kids instead of high school graduates.
You think Blutarsky would be so funny nowadays since he is depicted as an ignorant, out of control drunk, and peeping tom?
I'm a BIG Alec Guinness fan, so have his comedies and dramas in my collection!
Another GREAT Brit comedy movie is VICE VERSA ( starring Roger Livesey, Anthony Newely when he was a child, Petula Clark as a young teen, and Kay Walsh ), which is father & son exchange and was the mother & daughter exchange of the two American movies FREAKY FRIDAY.
The scene where the printer is smashed into pieces is one of the most beautiful things ever to make it on the screen.
It is good to be the King. The world's first art critic. Classic.
“Arnold Stang and Marvin Kaplan get their gas station destroyed by Jonathan Winters in Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.” Agree 100%. Great scene in a wonderful movie for the whole family. I liked Buster Keaton trying to figure out which way to walk after all the cars accelerated away quickly.
Another one to add to your list, similar to Better Off Dead
One Crazy Summer

This guy steals the show One Crazy Summer in a Godzilla costume.

La Cage Aux Folle was funny in its time. I find the homo and cross dressing entertainment sad now. We knew not what fries we were unleashing.
Generally as someone who finds slapstick dull and unfunny and that unfortunately seems to be the comedy genre that ages best;there is very little comedy that ages well imho.
Certain stand up works. Jeff Allen on Drybar for example.

Tom Hanks' best movie.
I really enjoyed DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLS BEST FRIEND.
of course Singing in the rain has the world’s best dance scene.
That reminded me of another hilarious movie:
Joe’s Apartment
There are so many 80s comedies in particular that were so well done: Police Academy, D.C. Cab, Weird Science, Revenge of the Nerds, The Goonies, Summer Rental, Crocodile Dundee, Big Trouble in Little China, Porky's, History of the World Part I, etc.
